Hey scotty 🙂

I habve following Problem with my 2006 Toyota Corolla e12.

When The motor is Cold it is idling normal with 1100 RPM.

But if it is warm its idling Very low, Like up and down between 600-800rpm

Then its vibrating strong and is nearly shutting off.

What could be the Problem?

Tank You 🙂

1100 is normal for a cold engine. But if vibrating due to low rpm’s then in addition to the possibility of a vacuum leak , you could check for a dirty air filter, clean the mass air flow sensor and the throttle body. And while you are cleaning the tb, clean the idle air control valve as it may be dirty or malfunctioning. Also when did you last have the spark plugs replaced? Fuel filter?

Well, 1100 is actually too fast of an idle. They're supposed to idle about 800 RPM. But if it goes between $600 and 800 RPM when warmed up, you'll probably have a vacuum leak. So try my video finding engine vacuum wicks on your car Scotty. It's on YouTube
