Should I swap my 2007 Ford Ranger 4x4 to a 4bt diesel p-pump? I want to get rid of all the computer crap and make it old school. The only thing I’d probably keep is ac.
I thought about changing the dashboard out for an 83-88 dash, too. I want to build a custom real wood bezel and wrap the top with leather.
and a bench seat and thin custom door panels (for a little more room side to side).
no abs, tpms, air bags, etc.
I mean something like that's going to be expensive but if you plan on doing all the work yourself and have a good place to source your used parts then I would say go for it as long as this isn't gonna break your bank or anything. If your gonna do a swap I would strongly consider a crate LS engine. It's a very popular swap because its an awesome engine with aftermarket parts galore and pretty small as far as V8's are concerned so it's fits into just about anything. Either way I love the idea of making it simpler and less computer crap! GL with your project truck : )
