CV axle spindles

Please correct me if I’m wrong, but in independent suspension cars, the spindle is built into the cv axle. Could you change just the spindle (and not the whole cv axle) if you wanted to put a different hub on your car?

Please, always provide your vehicle model info. Thanks.

Not really giving us enough info here. It would help if you told us why you want to change the hub, and what are you trying to change it to. Does the hub have a different inner diam or spline count?

Spindles or stub shafts are for non-driven wheels (such as the front wheels on a RWD vehicle). The term isn't used for CV axles.

The outer shaft of a CV axle would be specific to that axle. The aren't sold separately that I'm aware of unless this an established mod for some niche application.

It might in fact be impossible to find and axle that mates to both your transmission, and a non-stock hub.

A spindle, also called a knuckle is different from an axle. You might be thinking of a spindle/knuckle and hub and bearing assembly.

A spindle is not a knuckle. A FWD car has knuckles, but no spindles.
