Hi scotty, love your channel.

I installed a dash cam to make sure I have evidence in case I'm ever in an accident, there's a lot of crazy drivers in my area.

I found that when the dash cam is powered (via the cigarette lighter) it kills my digital radio, the interference is too bad I can hardly get a radio connection.

What can I do about this?

The answer is to use ferrite cores to prevent interference from the wires

Buy a better dashcam. If you are really interested in having evidence get a vehicle DVR system. Some decent ones around between 90-150 bucks. One I ordered has four cams, backup cam runs through it. One forward cam, one on each side. You can buy a separate monitor for it that mounts on your dash or run it to a video in on your stereo, or backup cam in on your stereo. There are some that work with bluetooth and use your phone as a monitor and to offload video up to the cloud. Some even have a prerecord loop function that saves video when motion is detected. So you can have evidence of someone breaking into your car, or someone that hit your car when it was parked and left. These type of systems are permanent install. No cigarette lighter plug.

Change your dash cam.

That's not gonna work mate, all dash cams cause this interference

Did you test all of them?

All dash cams use electricity if I'm not wrong

Mine doesn't.
