Hi Scotty,
I have a 2015 Honda Accord hybrid with 58k miles (got it used about 3 years ago with 26k) and it has not had any sort of issue at all. I follow all maintenance guidelines but fear the hybrid system crapping out after 100k miles despite being a Honda Accord. Have you heard of any specific issues with this particular hybrid system, because I know after 2015, Honda took a year off and re released the hybrid model in 2017.
also, I had had an installer put in an after market head unit a while back that crapped out so I went back to the factory unit. The problem now is the Bluetooth doesn’t work where the steering wheel controls are broken for the phone functions and the Bluetooth wire looks cut right at the connector. It looks like the aftermarket guy spliced that wire into another after market harness. It’s made me want to potentially buy a new dash instrument harness and reinstall it so everything works as intended. Would you recommend a guy like me do that? I don’t have much experience but have taken my dash apart before; I just hesitate when it comes to electrical. I would definitely remove the battery terminals before I did anything.
thanks,
j
Well Honda hybrids are nowhere near as good as the Toyota hybrids and I wouldn't even buy a Toyota hybrid but if it runs good enough I kind of leave some of the minor stuff alone
Thanks Scotty. Since my car still has an after market harness, would you advise getting an after market radio or just leaving it alone?
@Dxy2jdx unfortunately Scotty does not respond back to follow up questions.
