Hello Scotty and everyone,
I have an 08 Lexus gs350 AWD and I watched Scotty's video on not leaving devices on the OBD2 port, however I have a dashcam-Viofo A129 Pro that I can power by that port dashcam. I saw two videos-(the links are below) that recommended it, so does your warning still apply to dashcams?

I would not use the OBD port to power a dash cam. Use a cigarette lighter or wire it hard directly to the battery
