I have a 97 Nissan Pathfinder I have changed out the alternator thinking this is why the battery would not stay charged also would the computer be the problem if the windshield washer wipers went on by themselves and it doesn't stay cranked could this be the ECM
For your battery problem, providing it's relatively new, you may have a parasitic drain somewhere in your electrical system. Here's how you can find one.
For the wiper motor, it depends on the car. If you have a Body Control Module, yes, there could be a short somewhere in that computer causing the random wiper activation. But I wouldn't assume that right away. I'd check/ replace the switch and replace the relay if your system has one. Those are the simplest things it could be. It's a 25 year old vehicle.
What are you referring to when you say it doesn't stay cranked?
