Dealership Mechanics vs Franchise Shop Mechanics

Who usually have more experience working with cars? I'm not driving a German car like BMW or Mercedes. I drive a 2021 Camry. When I first had my first brand new car 7 years ago, it was a 2015 Fusion. I never brought it to the Ford Dealership I bought it from. I used the local Firestone and Pep Boys. They never disappointed me and their works were high quality. So I'm not sure if I should continue to use Firestone and Pep Boys or my local Toyota Dealership for maintenance.

Thanks!

The Toyota dealership will have more experience with your vehicle.  They will also have more experience with ripping you off.

As long as you have warranty and you get free stuff, go to the Toyota dealership but after the warranty is over, take the car to an independent trustworthy mechanic.

I don’t trust either of them, but since your vehicle is brand new under warranty I would just take it to the Toyota dealer so all services and work is captured in their system, so they can’t back out of a claim or give you a hard time later.  After the warranty is up, find a good, independent honest mechanic who works on Japanese cars to service your vehicle;  you can also do some of the stuff yourself.
