Did the mobile mechanic possibly do damage to my car?

I had a mobile mechanic come check my car out as it wasn’t starting and was burning oil before it stopped starting.

he came late. Took five minutes saying the alternator was locked up maybe he said? But really my question is could he have locked my motor up or possibly sabatoge my car? Like on that side of the engine and using wrenches?

also he didn’t run any cleaners or any scan tools. No checking if fuses no checking of spark plugs, legit just the alternator and then he said the starter. Like no effort.

it’s an 11 sonata 2.4

He might not have done a thorough enough job but it seems unlikely that any damage was done to the engine. Have you checked to see if the motor is locked up?

I did not. It won’t start. And I would honestly lock it up if I checked lol.

He checked the alternator and said well I need to replace the starter to see if the engine is shot.

Didn’t check my chambers spark plugs. Like I don’t wanna spend money if the engine is shot😂

If you can't do the work yourself and don't have a friend or relative on hand who is mechanically inclined it's pretty much unavoidable that you have to pay a mechanic to diagnose the problem. Other than that you could see the information in the FAQ for troubleshooting a no-start problem to check a few possibilities yourself. There are many things that can prevent an engine from starting and there aren't many details here for us to go on.

Regardless if the mobile mechanic damaged your car or not, Hyundai is supposed to give you a free engine in this case. Call the dealer with your VIN and they are supposed to tell you if your engine is eligible for a replacement. Check NHTSA also to see if your engine is under recall because chances are, it is. If not, it has a lifetime warranty and Hyundai is supposed to give you a new engine FREE OF CHARGE.
