2009 Hyundai Santa Fe rack & pinion

My sister owns this miserable car and can't afford a new one. The power steering pump is leaking and one shop told her the rack needed to be replaced as well. She lives an hour away from me, so I can't just run over there and look at it. I used to work as a professional mechanic many years ago (I'm 56 now) and I'm willing to do the replacement for her provided it's not one where you have to drop the engine cradle to do it. I'll be doing this in my driveway. Does anyway know what all is involved with this job?

It's a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS with the 2.7 V6, front wheel drive.

It looks like the subframe has to be dropped down at least partially to make space to remove the rack:

Thanks.
I was afraid of that. Considering it's a Michigan car with rusty bolts, not sure I want to tackle this in my driveway.

15 years of driving on heavily salted winter roads could definitely made for an ugly mess under there. You might want to double-check whether the rack really needs replacement.
