Dies after start in hot weather

I have a 1991 GMC Sonoma pickup 4 cylinder manual transmission with 179,000 miles. It starts & runs fine in cooler weather but when the temperature is mid 70's or hotter, it dies when restarted after it is turned off and sits for 5 minutes or longer. Doesn't do it if I turn it off and restart it immediately. It runs fine after several restart/stalling cycles but before then it stalls when I pump gas pedal or if I just let it idle. What could cause this?

Measure your fuel pressure using these instructions:

If fuel is fine, then it's likely some electronic. They don't like heat. Usually something to do with ignition, so pull out each plug and test for good spark.
