how do I disconnect the battery from my car without it resetting the computer . When I disconnect it I have to relearn idle.

Then you have to use one of those save memory tools they plug into the OBD port and either connect to any 12v battery to keep memory alive or have a lithium 12 volt battery built in so that when you unplug the battery the computer still has power. You can buy such things as little as 13 bucks on Amazon
