So I'm looking into buying some new custom rims for my 2006 Corolla ce. I'm just wondering if I need to buy a set of tires along with them? They will be the same diameter being 16" as my current wheels so can't I just take off the tires and put them back on with my new wheels? If they're the same size it shouldn't matter right?
if the new rims have the same diameter and width, then yes you can reuse your tires.
If they still have a lot of tread depth remaining & if they’re relatively new, yeah go ahead.
Be sure to check if the rims match, as Joe mentioned.
Yes, that is not a problem
Beside diameter and a width of the rim, … offset also has to match, as does a bolt circle and a number of holes. Also a hub diameter has to match. And in case someone offers you a set of wheels that will require hub spacers, … skip it, you sure don’t want to be bother with hub spacers! You want your wheels to be hub-centric right out of the box, …

Ok great guys thank you a bunch for all the help and haha yeah I won't be doing that ridiculous money pit trend of making my wheels look like they're carrying 4k pounds of cabin cargo. Those poor tires...
