Should I get a Corolla as commute car?

Hello, I currently drive a 2015 Focus SE. I love it, it’s my baby, it’s got 137k miles, but it’s starting to have serious transmission problems. It’s not worth to sell it, and I’m planning on getting a 2020 Corolla as my commute car as I’m a truck driver. I drive from Bolivar, MO to Lenexa, KS. It’s a good 2-3 hour drive. My main vehicle is a 2021 BMW X3 M40i, and no way I’m gonna commute in that. Gas mileage would be awful. Would a 2020 Corolla be good? I know the 90’s and 2000’s corollas last over 400k miles, but will the new ones at least last me 150k-200k problem free? Do you think I should get one?

Well, time will tell if the 2020 model is as reliable as its predecessors, but hey, it’s a Corolla. It’s the most reliable car on the planet.

Going by the model’s track record, they usually last well past 500,000 miles.

Yeah, don’t even think about putting that kinda mileage on your BMW..

If I put that mileage on my BMW I’d have to replace it within a year probably

Fair dinkum, mate.

Yeah. That’s pretty much the purpose Toyota made the Corolla for.  Best commuter of all time.

We don't know because its a new model but generally you shouldn't have problems before the mileage you want Corollas can last a long time if taken care of.
