Hi , i have yukon 2010 with 190,000 KM , running with no issue , Is it necessary to delete DoD ( allows your V8 engine to "turn off" half of the cylinders under light-load conditions to improve your vehicles fuel economy) ? Because I am afraid that the system will fail and cause engine damage , so is it Good idea to DELETE the DOD system ??

It's not so much that the system failing will damage the engine, but its normal operation can cause damage over time due to uneven stresses induced in the engine from deactivation of cylinders.

Of course at that age and mileage the damage has probably already been done.

Thanks for the reply, so I leave the system as it is or I delete the DOD system ?

Your call, depending on how difficult/costly it is to do the modification properly and how long you plan to keep the vehicle.

thanks alot
