[Solved] Dodge Atoz/ Hyundai Santro brake pedal goes down while slowly pressing

Dodge Atoz/ Hyundai Santro/Atoz/Amica 2003-2014(2018 India) 30k miles mechanic 1.1 petrol, brake pedal goes down while slowly pressing and starts stopping too late. later than normal. But when pressing fast or normal then it brakes normally. Bleeding not helped. Is master cylinder bad? I saw maybe a corrosion near master cylinder where it connects with booster.
Mechanics wants to change both master and booster, but I think it is only master cylinder. No ABS in this car.
Thank you

Update on this my Hyundai.

So after changing master cilinder now brakes are very good, and booster was not needed to change luckily, but mechanics wanted to change both. Many mechanics in India want to change as many parts as possible for more profit, maybe in whole world like this.
Scotty's words: want to fix well, do it yourself 🙂

Pray it's just a bad master cylinder and not a bad brake booster if it has power brakes

@scottykilmer
Scotty, Hyundai India is notorious for manufacturing cars with bad brakes in the Indian market.

@scottykilmer
This car once was given to one bad mechanic to change front brake pads. Also he cleaned back drums and few other things done but very badly once I checked, so maybe he did something to brakes so that to change master cylinder and booster, as he wanted. After that this problem came. Then with good mechanic we checked, he also said let's change cylinder and booster. I asked to change only cylinder. He said cylinder and booster can be changed only together from where he buys parts. I checked on the internet that can be changed seperately. So now he also managed with manufacture to deal only cylinder.

So let's hope only cylinder.
Booster to change will be not a problem, not very expensive, just 40 dollars, in India parts are cheap, maybe thats why quality not good.
