Dodge Durango V6 or Hemi reliability?

Hello! I'm currently looking to purchase my first car and I fell in love with the looks of the 3rd Generation Dodge Durango. I'm looking to buy one from 2015-2019. I know dodge isn't really known for reliability, but I'm trying to be hopeful. I live up north, so I'm looking at the awd version. Most of the Durangos around me have about 80,000-140000 miles used. I'm trying to look for a reasonably priced one. I just want to know if they can be reliable.

The 5.7 Hemi is your best option. Road test one to see if you like it and have a mechanic look it over to make sure it doesn't have any issues.

Agree with @kp.  The hemi is the one to get.  It will have problems, but the engine itself is solid.  My wife’s Grand Cherokee (same platform) is at 180k miles, and the engine has been fine.  Mostly easy DIY maintenance, too (except the 16 spark plugs).

If nothing else, the hemi will have better resale if you decide to get rid of it.

Hemi just try to make sure if you can that it doesn't have too many idle hours

Yeah, a lot of Durango’s have a history of police duty and such.
