Dodge-RAM 1500 trucks any good?

I watch Scotty and the Car Nut all the time.

The Car Care Nut recently said Dodge makes very good trucks. I was surprised he said that knowing the reputation Dodge has. That being said, I do need a full size truck. I don't like the six cylinder turbos offered with Toyota. Is Dodge making good long lasting trucks? I was going to start looking at Fords.

thanks

The lower level ones are absolute junk. The heavier duty ones are better, but they still have problems with electrical.

No, stay away from the 1500 series.  The heavy duty series 2500 and up (diesels) are much better, at least in terms of powertrain (engine/transmission);  of course, the rest of the vehicle does not hold up over time.

Ive recently driven a f250 and a ram 2500 of the same year (2021 I believe)
Hands down I liked the Ram better
Ive owned both over the years
As far as turbos go, ford uses them as well in their 150's
The ford seemed less stable imo
Best to drive both and compare
Of todays PU's I think I would stick with a Nissan or a Toyota

The only Dodge product I would even consider is the 3/4 ton with a Cummins Diesel and an Allison trans.
