Drive shaft replacement

2004 F150 New Body Style

39" wheel base, 4.6 eng RWD

My drive shaft  has a bad swing bearing.  Mechanic said my truck requires the entire drive shaft to be replaced due to the style.  I have been searching for full drive shafts for 3 weeks. Can I replace with front and rear drive shafts to create the entire assembly for this style of F150?  Mechanic has never seen this style of drive shaft.  Parts houses do not have except 1 place 6 hours away.  Mechanic said it MIGHT be possible to use separate front & rear shafts if the swing bearing is already attached to one of the shafts. Any help would be most appreciated.

39" wheel base,

your axles are three feet apart?

bad swing bearing.

never heard of a swing bearing. Is that the same as a center support, or carrier bearing?
