- He my Scotty I have a 2004 Chevy suburban z71 and when I put my truck in reverse and drive it clunks and jerks a lil. It also clunks going from 2nd to 3rd gear do you think you might know what it is?

Go with the easy first...Check all your u-joints on your driveshaft and the middle carrier bearing if you have a 2 piece driveshaft.
