I tend to agree with @g-t. It’s his money, so he can do whatever he wants with it. There has to be a reason he keeps doing it.
I guess he likes them. Some people are loyal to certain brand or model.
Maybe he wants to be a pro mechanic. You get lots of practice with those, and everything is way harder than most other cars, from what I hear.
