330i vs 530i
both n52, no turbo, 272 hp, mpi not gdi, 6 speed zf automatic
around years 2008-2011
is there any significant differance in maintnance costs? parts? insurance?
from what i've seen, oddly enough they weigh about the same at 1.5 tons
and the 530i accelerates better and has a slightly better fuel consumption.
will there be issues? i know there will. but not as much as an old 4 cylinder turbo car with a dual clutch...
i am thinking about which one is better and more reliable?
Maintenance cost and parts prices should be about the same: expensive.
The N52 engine is great. Just the stuff around the engine gets costly.
possible issues:
- valve cover gasket leak.
- a release valve (PCV I think) I the valve cover, that requires the whoa valve cover to be replaced.
- at that age, the catalytic converter may go out.
- also because of age, if they haven’t been replaced, the coils and spark plugs may need to replaced.
