Scotty. I have a 2012 ram 3500 4x4 Cummins.

This Longhorn 3500 has 48k miles, Truck is new like. Oil changed every 3,000 miles

Engine light came on.

Says EGR valve.

Temp went up from 195 to 210 degrees but still in Mid Normal range.

Went on Freeway at 80 MPH. Downshifted so that my RPMs was 2900. Ran for about 5 minutes. Light went off. but in a few days came back on.

Dealership says since there is moisture inside EGR manifold, that I need the EGR radiator replaced and new EGR. Costs are 3,600. Radiator fluid has dropped about an 1 inch below High line in the overflow tank. About 4/5 above add line.

What are your thoughts?

Sounds like he's telling your truth also proves how poorly made those vehicles are if they break down at that low mileage. And of course the scumbags are there won't fix it for free cuz you're out of the time mileage warranty.
