Hi everyone, i’m considering to buy an used elantra from 2011-2016 generation and i wanna to know if this car is reliable in terms of durability, I would also like to know your opinions and experiences about this car in case you have them. Thanks
Clarification: How many years and miles do you need the vehicle to last you?
I would not recommend a Hyundai/Kia product. They have very poor build quality and do not hold up over time.
It was too cheap for me to be a reliable car, I think I'll have to play it safe with a 2013 civic
I would avoid the Elantra especially if you intend to keep the vehicle for as long as possible. Also, realize the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty only applies to the original owner. Overall quality of Hyundai Motor Group products is such that we are not recommending any of their products (especially after 2010).

I would definitely go for the 2013 Civic. I had one and I beat the hell out of it and now my brother owns it and it still doesn’t have a single issue. Bulletproof car
I would avoid 2013 models.

That said, they’re not Corolla or Civic good, but they’re fine enough. I wouldn’t buy one with high mileage, but if it’s lower mileage, it can be a decent car as long as it’s checked out by a trusty mechanic.
I was interested in a 2014 - 2015 elantra because of its design and price but seeing this I think I will go for a 2013 civic
