Lincoln continental transmission problem

Hi Scotty,

So i have a 2001 Lincoln Continental with 97,000 miles. For the past month, ive had issues with the transmission falling out of gear to a lower gear going about 45 to 50 mph. When shes cold, she work fine but when shes hot, she starts acting rough and idles rough at a stop light.  I have replaced the transmission fluid and filter as well. I had a code pop up that said p0734 and was told by a mechanics shop that i need a full rebuild. Do you think this is a solenoid problem or is there something major with the transmission?

the transmission needs to be diagnosed by a professional. They are able to measure all the fluid line pressures and solenoid waveforms in order determine the cause. Rebuild or replace is not out of the question.
