Elantra tachometer not working

Hey Scotty

2015 Hyundai Elantra 1.8 liter 205,000km. I've been having as issue lately where the car is hard to start after it has sat for an hour or 2.  It does start and run, however,  i need to turn it over for a few extra seconds and give it some gas.  It will stall occasionally at a stop light.  Also the tachometer doesn't work intermittently.  There is no check engine light and no codes.  I am thinking its the crank position sensor as it seems to be a common issue on those Korean junkers, but i don't want to start throwing parts at it.  Any help would be appreciated!

Well that is a very good guess. But if you don't want to guess you're going to have to get a relatively fancy graphing scan tool. Take it for a road test until it acts up and then see if the crank sensor signal breaks down
