Turn Signal Quagmire

Scotty, your channel should be mandatory viewing for all who own a vehicle!  It's absolutely fantastic!

I have a strange situation: My daughters 2013 Hyundai Elantra (146K miles) left turn signal indicator on the dashboard is constantly lit. The turn signal up front was not working, however, the rear signal was working fine.  When I changed the bulb, I noticed that the old bulb didn't appear to be burnt out.  Both filaments were still in tact and there was no black soot on the inside.  After changing the bulb everything seemed to work normally.  However, after only a few minutes it happened again.  I removed the new bulb, cleaned the socket with electronic spray cleaner and reassembled.  All was fine, until a short time later, it happened again.  The right turn signal works just fine.  The vehicle has been a desert car its entire life.  Your thoughts?

Thanks so much in advance!

- Joe

I would assume there's some type of short in the wiring going to the bulb that isn't working now. Trace the wiring including the ground wiring

Thank you sir... will do!
