Well let's see.....all new platform, GM quality, all electric.....

I don't know how long it will take to actually break down, but I would bet they will have issues almost immediately and a lot of recalls. Look at the new Corvette: it is still a gas powered car and just moving the engine location has caused so many issues. I doubt they are going to be able to build a whole new platform without having problems. Even though electric cars are a simple design, GM's track record with them isn't exactly good. I guess we will have to wait and see, but if I could offer a small piece of advice it would be DON'T BUY ONE. You don't want to be the guinea  pig on this project, especially for the amount of money GM wants for those things.

There are less moving parts with EVs, but the electronics are still there (and more so now), which has not been a strong suit for GM historically.  I guess time will tell, but this being a new platform for them with the Ultium battery technology and battery management system, I expect bugs;  I certainly would not buy one (lease only).  The same can be said for all these automakers coming out with their EVs.
