My 2020 RAV4 has an electronic parking brake that engages whenever you put the car in park. Should I leave this setting or adjust it to where I can decide when to engage it?
Will it not last as long if it is always engaged when the car is parked?

Just leave it alone! Only time you want to fiddle with it - and there is procedure for that - is when you want to push it forward or back in your garage a bit, … or when you working on rear brakes, … like changing pads ‘n such. Leave it alone otherwise!
