2021 Lexus ES350 - Last night I was doing my rear brake pads. I manually enter service mode. While working on the drivers side the caliper piston fell off so instead of struggling with i got a new one. However, onece everything was put bake on and the brakes were bleed, the EPB malfunction light came on. I checked everything, looked online for additional resources, and couldn't find anything to help at the moment. The caliper is in the full recess(?) position.(Caliper piston not pressing on the brake pads.) Should I try to reengage service mode or try to exit service mode by holding down the pb itself? Any input would be great thanks.
Well, if the caliper fell out and was fully extended, all bets are off. You're going to have to find a guy like me with a fancy scan tool to recalibrate the system. That's a problem with all that electronic crap. It even drives me nuts and I have the equipment to work on it
