Looking to purchase a used mid-sized truck in the next 3 to 6 months. I've narrowed the truck down to a Toyota Tacoma, Ford Ranger, Chevy/GMC Colorado/Canyon, Nissan Frontier.
Are there certain year models I should avoid for each of these trucks?
Really like the Tacoma because it is dependle and long-lasting.

You can check out sites like carcomplaints.com to get an idea of failure trends, recalls, and service bulletins for specific makes, models, and years.
You may also want to search the board as this kind of question has been asked many times here, and also see the section with vehicles reviewed by Scotty.
