I was wondering about if the USA is ever hit with a Electromagnetic pulse . There are some websites that are selling these Electromagnetic pulse protection for cars that hook to the battery to protect your car from this attack.
There are also sites saying that these things people selling to put on your car are bot going to work or other are saying that some cars won't be affected. What I am asking if some these things are selling will work on your car or do some cars have this protection
Search the board, this has already been discussed to death.

You are describing an electronic device which needs power from your battery, and it's supposed to protect you from something that disables electronics. ....
If that doesn't sound ridiculous to you, it should.

also, if you're worried about EMP, you should protect yourself against asteroid impacts too. I have this little box with blinky lights that repels them. Only $99.99
That comment made me chuckle, lol.
A car would be the last thing on everybody's mind in an EMP. It also requires wires, insulation, more wire and more insulation in order to shield something (a Faraday Cage). No modern car will survive an EMP because none of that is required in a car under normal conditions. Computer modules need shielding, etc. No car is like that. Even the absolutely paranoid guys that somehow manage to survive the intial EMP will have no chance. Gas station fuel pumps are driven by computer. It's a massive scam.
Want to increase the odds of surviving the initial EMP? Here's a clue. Unhook a battery cable any time you're not using your car.
