I have a 2.5 SOHC Subaru. An absolute enthusiast stated that I could swap my “heads”, to a Double overhead cam. Was he making a mistake?

Anything is possible, in theory. I am sure Jay Leno (ultimate gear head) could make it happen. In practice for the rest of us mortals, it’s not worth your time and $$$ - not to mention the ripple effect to the rest of the vehicle’s systems.
