Scotty, I have a 2006 Lexus LS430 with 193,000 miles. A couple weeks ago the check engine light and VSC light both came on at the same time. Car seems to run fine but I'm getting worse gas mileage. Any thoughts off the top of your head of what it could be before I take it in for service?

Get it scanned for codes. One possibility is bad knock sensors, which can keep your transmission from shifting past a certain gear. If this is the case, you will see your RPMs staying high when traveling at higher speeds. And your gas mileage will suffer.
