Hello Scotty,
hope you are doing great. I have a 2009 Honda Accord Lx-p Automatic 2.3L 4 cylinder which I got last year from private party. Engine light on the car is flashing continuously and there are random misfires and cylinder 2 and 3 misfires in the code diagnostics.till now replaced all spark plugs, ignition coil, crank shaft censor, cleaned injector, swapped injector, no luck.
took it to dealer, after engine diagnostic, I was told that piston rings needs to replaced and to do that engine had to be taken out which costs me a huge amount of money. Can you please advise on what might fix the issue?
Thanks
Since you’ve already tried the cheap fixes, and the problem still remains, it’s probably got to do with your engine internally.
What’s the mileage on your car? And how frequently do you change your oil?
Some of these had major oil burning issues. Did you use ALL OEM parts? One aftermarket part will make you chase your tail all day long.
Well, if you bought the car for cheap, it would be better to try and sell and get it a new car that works fine. The car could become a money pit if the parts are aftermarket or even not installed properly.
