Hello Scotty,

I have an 2008 Audi a4 2.0 TDI automatic with 102,000 miles with no OBD codes.

The main problem I am having I believe is the engine is overheating. I would like your advice on how to diagnose this issue the timing belt and water pump was changed a few days ago however it still feels like there something wrong. Because after parking for 5 minutes after driving and then starting the engine and moving off there is a power output loss and it feels sluggish.

I noticed a burning smell that was very slight and subtle which lasted a few seconds and then went away twice in a week. (The weather was very hot over 30°C)

I would really appreciate your response and I wanted to let you know I enjoy your videos and have learnt a little but I still believe there’s lots to learn.

Thank you

You might want to check for a blown head gasket.
