should I buy this Lexus?

3 previous owners, 124K miles, $17,450.

Im aware that the mileage, price, number of owners and age all don't look too hot on paper. However, the Carfax report says 90% of all maintenance was done at Lexus dealerships. Looks like all three previous owners took care of this car with regular oil changes, trans fluid changes and basic servicing. Nothing stood out as problematic during test drive except brakes, which may soon need servicing. Interior and body in good condition. No rusting

Keep in mind that this is currently a good deal for a used ES hybrid in my area, considering the current inflated prices in the used car market.

Thanks for any feedback you can share!

3 Owners in 10 years is scary in itself.

Hybrid that is 10 years old is even worse.

A friend is asking me about buying a 2010 Matrix, before I will recommend it, it has to pass my, I would buy it myself test.

I would not recommend this Lexus to a friend, it has too many potential problems at that age, because it is a hybrid.

Year? Model?

If most of the service was done at lexus, go to the lexus website, add the car to your account with the vin, and you can look at the records at least.

For that price, I am guessing it is no newer than 2015?

That car gets about 40 mpg, which is not good enough to me to bother getting a hybrid. If you were doing all city, then yes it would double your mileage, but highway is 30 compared to 40.

I would be very hesitant getting that old of a hybrid, but I would not hesitate to get a regular gas model, and if you keep it a really long time, you will most likely do far better with the regular model.
