Hey guys, I just saw a 1993 Toyota Celica on OfferUp. It was posted a month ago. It is a 2.2 inline Four. It has 161,550 miles on it. Supposedly the engine over heats after a few miles. The owner doesn’t know what the problem is. The description also says that it needs some parts for the front end. Basically if I were to buy it I’d have to fix the overheating issue, add a new Slave cylinder, master and brake cylinder(included with the car trunk). I don’t think that’s a huge problem. But I’m not sure about it. I don’t know if I should get it. They want $2000 for it. What do you guys think? Should I get it as is or bargain for a better price?

Are you really ready to deal with the needs of a 30-year-old car? Hopefully you're not planning to use it as a daily driver. It's likely the problems the seller admits to are just the tip of the iceberg.
What would you recommend for me? I’m looking for a reliable four cylinder sports car
Depends on what you consider to be a sports car and what you want. The Mazda Miata is usually the default recommendation for a reliable sports car. If a 2-seat convertible is not your thing a newer Celica wouldn't be a bad choice.
