Engine preservation

  • I just bought a 2015 Honda accord sport it has 80,000 miles on it what do I need to do to preserve the engine and if there’s anything that’s fixing to possibly tear up

Also I got a 2016 F150 that has a 3.5 eco-boost and I know how you feel about that take the engine but what do I need to do to preserve that engine and thanks for all your help is really appreciated😁🤔

Oil change, air filter, a super clean battery, coolant change the good things about Honda's is that they really just need basic maintenance. That's why people always recommend them.

Most importantly, change the oil as specified in the owners manual, use oil of the specified weight and meeting the API rating that is also specified in the manual.   Maintain it by the book.   If it has a timing belt and hasn't been replaced yet... it's probably a good idea at this point to make a plan for that.
