2013 Honda transmission?

I have a 2013 Honda CR/V AWD with 98,000 miles. The past year or so it hesitates on acceleration, sometimes lagging a second or so, at speed it has no issues. My regular mechanic said he thought it was a transmission issue, so I took it to the Honda dealer, who said it's normal (but it wasn't normal for 7 years!). Any ideas?

More info needed: … describe a problem bit better.

Hondas transmissions tend to show a bit of the shudder at about your mileage when semi-lightly accelerated, … say, about around 10-15 miles per hour. If you, however, accelerate more briskly, shudder is not there. Car drives just fine. Is that your trouble? … like I said, describe your problem bit better.

Best,
F.S.

i believe scotty posted a video earlier this week. he mention AWD have this special rear differential, you must also change this oil and only use original oem in a rear differential. if you have an inlet filter for transmission please always change that in every fluid change(some only use paper inside without mesh) as a bonus. Now from my personal experience i also own a honda 8th gen, recently it started to stall when stopping randomly this also has to do with the fact i was getting less than 20 mpg. well after that i put a brand new 12v battery and cleaned all my plugs with electric spray cleaner, thankfully i was able to get codes it was that simple. so next time you notice anything odd just start cleaning and check for codes

Do you use Honda fluid? Hondas are very sensitive on that.

Yes I only use Honda fluid, could be that 10-15 mph issue mentioned above. I'll check next time I'm driving.

The Honda mechanic asking me if I drove it with both feet (like a race car) which I do not, he thought I might be hitting the brake and triggering something but I don't believe I was doing that.
