My 1999 Ranger would shake a bit when I'd first start accelerating, but only a second or two. Check your driveshaft jonts and also see if a balance came off. That was the problem with mine. I bought my driveshaft to Dayton Clutch and Joint. Depending on the shop's specialty, you may need a separate vehicle for a little bit. I drove my '79 Pontiac around for two weeks while they worked on the driveshaft.
