Even Resale value of Celebrity-Owned EVs is terrible

Scotty has been right all along about poor resale value of EVs.  Even for celebrity owned examples, that is still the case.  Just take a look at two celebrity car enthusiasts and celebrated comedians Jay Leno and Jeff Dunham.

.

Jay Leno listed a 2015 Tesla Model S P90D on Bring a Trailer (an enthusiast car auction site) on 7/2021.   The car was originally $140,000 when he bought it, but he ended up selling it for $95,500.  On 3/2023 the new owner listed it on Bring a Trailer and the highest bid was only $55,555.  Ouch!

.

Jeff Dunham listed his $162,000 2018 Tesla Model X P100D earlier this year 6/2023 and it only sold for $62,000.   Ouch!

.

So, even for celebrities their EVs resale value drops dramatically.

It's just a used car, big deal that celebrity owned it, lol. The car doesn't come with the celebrity.

To you and me, sure. But you would be amazed how much it can matter to others, especially fans. The word fan (from fanatical) already says it.

Hey DayWalker,

with your recent disparaging posts regarding EV's, I don't think that you will be receiving any calls soon from the manufacturers asking you to be their brand's spokesperson! {pear}

Keep up the good work. {pear}
