Hi Scotty,
i currently have a 2007 Buick Allure ( lacrosse in us ), it has 113000 km on it. 3,8 l V6, I maintain it very well, I had it for 2 years, no major problem with it, in good shape. I would have the chance to buy a Lexus IS 250 2008 for 6500$, but it has 220000 km. Do you think it’s a good upgrade or would I be a fool to exchange a car that has 112000 km to one that has double the mileage ?
I'd probably do it because of the quality upgrade.
But I'm going to guess a lot of people will say keep what you have, the devil you know, etc.
Still, its a Buick to a Lexus. It's your money but I know what I would do.
Mod man thanks for the reply !
Let me ask you this: Your Buick is currently at ~70,000 miles. If you kept the Buick Azure how many more years and miles would you put on it (or like to put on it)? Put another way, how far mileage-wise do you need the Azure to go over the next few years?
Hi DayWalker,
I think I will change the car anyways in about a year if I don’t do it now with the Lexus. Until then I may add about 5000 miles on it. I don’t put a lot of mileage on my car, I work from home.
@Christianaucoin in that case stick with what you got. Those Buicks with the 3800 series III engine were not bad at all, and you should easily make it another year with it.
Not for $6500
Hi !
Thanks for the reply.
6500$ is way less expensive then what a is250 is typically sold for in Canada, even with high mileage.
A lexus is a much better vehicle than a Buick.
