I just purchased a 2014 Dodge Caravan with 40,000 miles, it is a conversion van (Wheelchair ramp van) and when I accelerate to get up to speed getting on the highway I'm getting a strong burning exhaust smell in the cab temporally until I've let off the gas, I'm bring the RPM's up to about 5000 RPM's and not for long and it's enough to create a stink in the cabin.

You should never have exhaust fumes in the cabin. Are you sure it isn't something like oil that was spilled on the engine burning off?
