External temperature sensor

Thanks Scotty! My wife even finds your YouTube videos entertaining, she’s not car centric at all! I have a 2011 Chevy Hhr with 167000 miles. No check engine lights or obvious running problems. I have replaced the exterior temperature sensor twice with genuine GM sensors. I keep getting crazy readings, -15 degrees on a 40 degree day, etc it does it when it’s warmer too. I have carefully cleaned the contacts. Other than being annoying does it have any impact on fuel trim or my mileage? My mileage does seem low, but driving conditions have changed since I moved to Michigan.

Are you sure it isn't showing degrees Celsius?

No it doesn't affect anything the only car I've ever seen that effect are BMW is that it will say the outside temperature is minus 50° and then it won't let the AC turn on in the car when it's actually hot outside

Wow that's bizarre. BMW ain't my style anyway lol
