hello Scotty. I love your You tube videos, they are informative and entertaining, and you are a fun and funny guy, i watch almost every day. i am a home based vintage Volvo mechanic for over 30 years in Austin, Texas. i like the 70's-90's Volvos the best, because i can get them cheap, with not much wrong with them, fix them up, and they run forever with little, or no problems. and i don't like modern cars with all the computers and vacuum lines, and deliberate DIY impossible engineering. so with all that said, i bought the Montero 20 some years ago, when I had the corporate job. i dont drive it any more because its such a gas hog, but i keep it running to pull cars around my yard. i've never had any problems with it, except the front wheel bearings wore out at around 70K, and the power antenna broke, no big deal. i did the 100K maintenance about 2 years ago, timing belt, plugs, wires, belts, hoses, intake gasket, all fluids, and always changed the transmission fluid every 30K mi. and it worked fine for the past 2 years, until i parked it a couple of months ago. and now it wont start, unless i spray starting fluid into the throttle and put the intake hose back on. obviously this indicates that fuel is not coming from the tank to the engine. i found the fuel pump relay, and it clicks when i turn the key to the start position. i would like to diagnose this problem further, and hopefully find a bad fuse, or broken or disconnected wire, or a least measure and confirm power at the fuel pump, but i have not been able to locate any service data, or wiring diagrams, or Youtube videos, even "Haynes"  doesn't make a service and repair manual. i can only assume that Mitsubishi only made this model for a few years, and there is just not much info on them. i would greatly appreciate your guidance, and any suggestions you can offer on where to find any service and repair info, or at least a wiring diagram, or circuit schematic of the fuel pump, fuse, (I don't even find the fuse) relay, power and ground. i don't want to replace the fuel pump in a vehicle i don't even drive unless i'm sure it's bad. it worked fine for 20 years, parked it for 2 months, since the last time it started. now it wont start. can this fuel pump fail, one time fine next time dead? don't fuel pumps usually make noise, or get weak, or get intermittent, or flakey, or "goofy"  as i like to say. here's hoping you can lead me to a bad fuse. i will be grateful for any info you can share with me. thanks

Well realizing Mitsubishi is a very crappy computer systems that also often break down but when it doesn't start see if your fuel pressure is low or not start there but often it's at the fuel injectors don't pulse because the computers go bad

thanks for your very fast response, and please forgive my ignorance of this forum, i wrongly assumed i would be getting an email response, so it was a few days before i came back here to look. ok, so i looked at the Montero, removed the stupid plastic cover, but didn't see a fuel pressure test port, (Schrader valve) i wish i did, because i could simply press the core valve and hope to see fuel spray out. also it looks very difficult to reach any fuel injector electrical connectors, i can only even see the front one on the right (passenger) side, and i might be able to take some crap out of the way and connect a fuel injector test light (noid) to the wire, but even that looks like a giant pain. is it possible to test the computer while it is still installed, with a simple OBDII scanner. or what about remove and send out for testing and repair, or if i got one from a junk yard would it need to be programmed? could you please tell me the installed location, and part number and how to recognize it. i could at least check for corrosion on the cable /connector.  is it the PCM/ECM or some other control module. thanks again for your help
