F 150 5.4 3v Situation

Hey Scotty, recently subscribed and love your channel and your attitude on life. Keep Revving your engine! I have a 2006 F150 with 5.4 3 v. Didn't know about the cam phasers/chain guide and roller follower issues with them when I bought the truck used a couple years ago with 190k. Its got 192,000 and while I don't have any problems with it, I am concerned it is a ticking timebomb. Only good thing is I only use it around 500 or so miles per year. it ticks slightly now and really can't tell if thats from 192,000 miles or I am developing an issue. I have been around engines to know that older ones do have some ticking. It isn't loud but my paranoia is in high gear. Are there any tricks or easy (read that cheap) ways to check on things without either dropping the oil pan or pulling the valve covers? Should I just let it ride until it gets louder or something develops. Based upon the cost of new phasers, cams and such, it might be just as much to pick up a Powernation remanufactured engine Like $3300.00 for the long block and have a garage friend swap it out for a few more bucks. Would be very curious to hear any tidbits of sage wisdom from the master! Thanks for your time and stay well!

I believe you are referring to Powertrain Products, which sell remanufatured  engines with warranties.
