F-150 Engine shutoff button

Scotty, I have a 2019 Ford F-150. So far it has served us well. The only thing that is driving me crazy is that stupid button that you have to push EVERY time you start the truck that turns off the auto engine shutoff when you stop at a light. Is there a way to disable this so that it is off by default. I have been told no but if anyone would know a way around this it would be you. Thanks for great videos.  30,000 mi

Hope this works for you.

Thank you sir, I didn't know about that. I'll take a look too.

I have also seen inserts that fit into the trailer hitch that when installed, automatically put the vehicle in tow mode and shut off auto start/stop.  Sorry, but can't remember where I saw them.

You can't program the vehicle to automatically bypass that "feature" but you can buy devices on amazon and such that either get hardwired to the button's circuit or plug into the OBD2 port. I have no experience with either and can't recommend using one. The OBD2 plug ins are close to $200, ouch. I've just trained myself to push the button after buckling up. Driving in sport or towing mode also turns that little gem off BTW. I hope this helps.
