Hey scotty, im looking at this 2008 toyota camry solora which is the second generation with the 3.3 3MZ engine and 5 speed automatic and theyre asking a hefty $6K. ive been doing a lot of research on this car the past couple days and just about everything ive read is somebody praising it for its reliability and somewhat sporti-ness look to it. it also has had some pretty recent work done on the majority of the suspension is this worth picking up from the dealer in favor of my Trailblazer? thanks
The price is through the roof on that one. Look private party on craigslist. To give an example of a good price, I live in one of the most expensive car markets in the US, and even here it doesn't go above 2-3 grand. The most expensive I saw was 5000.
i hear ya man i know the price is super high i know there are some knick knacks about the car i wanted to get settled before i decided on actually buying it i was planning to pick it up for 4k - 4500 after negotiating with the dealer. the reason i think its so high is because i believe this model is pretty much fully loaded with the convertible top which i hope is in good shape because that can pretty much kill the car for me. also, where is this expensive car market hell lol im not sure about finding any solora under 3 grand that isnt over 180k on the odometer
I see. Then you might as well have a mechanic check it out before you buy to make sure it is in good shape then if you are happy with the price why not.
the reason why im not thrown off by the price is because i really think this solora is the best deal for what i want because its the lowest mileage for the best price in my area and people are charging crazy for mileage higher or similar to this and its had recent suspension overhaul before it was parked. i think its a pretty beautiful car and it is going through a pre purchase inspection by a third party before the final decision is made
