Hey everyone. So i've been trying to figure out the best way to handle my dashboard on my 2010 camry XLE i4. Last week I asked scotty during the livestream and he said to use goo gone as well as a sealant. I tried using both and it worked for a week but today it started melting again in front of my eyes. I've already tried convincing my dealer to replace but they want over two grand for it to be replaced. I thought about a dash cover but they're ugly and aren't really a good fix. Is there anything else I can try?
Also, does the 6 speed transmission in this car have reliability issues? I only have 66K miles on the car and the transmission kinda feels like it slips, doesn't feel like it shifts smooth, and sometimes it kind of downshifts and upshifts as it pleases. Another thing my car does (unsure if it's related to the tranny) is if traction control kicks in on a rainy day, the car violently shakes even when accelerating slowly. Thanks!
Hello dont know what sealant you are using but u can buy some to be rated 150 Celsius. If it yet that hot in your car ..you have bigger problems.
Your transmission sounds to me you need a mechanic to check it out .. could be it needs a fluid change.
